Team Demo Hugo is currently in the process of planning and launching a crowdfunding campaign to fund our team’s research and filming. Stay tuned for more news coming soon.

Team Demo Hugo is a collective of geographers, archivists, planners, animators, filmmakers, writers, Seattleites, transplants, poets and literary geeks. We’re making a documentary film about the

tear-down of 1634 11th Avenue, the current home of Richard Hugo House.

Our Premiere Date Is Set!

August 19, 2019

After more than four years of work, we are thrilled to be able to announce that Where the House Was has been accepted to its first (two) festivals! Our world premiere will be on September 21 at 7:30 at the Local Sightings Film Festival at Northwest Film Forum. More information on festivities to celebrate coming soon.

Shortly after our world premiere, we'll be screening at the Tacoma Film Festival, which will be running October 3–10 (our exact screening time TBA).

We can't wait to share the documentary with some of the communities directly affected by the forces of hope, displacement, and nostalgia that permeate the film. And we're so looking forward to sharing the film with you, the people who helped make it possible! Stay tuned for more details on these festivals and others.
